What every landlord should know is how to handle tenant deposits. If you are managing a property, you are keeping track of the tenants that belong to your property. The issue is security deposits, and how they play a part of your property losses. Managing a property means collecting rent from tenants, making sure the terms and conditions laid out in the lease agreement are in compliance, and that are clearly stated.

A property needs to be clean and well organize for the tenants. If there are apartments that are empty then they need to be quickly filled in so you can gain finances out of it. The goal is to keep the units full and at the highest rent per square foot possible. A property has to have good curb appeal, structure, landscaping, common areas and parking in clean condition. Make sure that tenants comply with rental policies and procedures are also important. Supervise repairs and maintenance work, conduct inspections from time to time and maintain an organized system of collecting rental payments and security deposit.
